Give me sanity

Brittany

I’m only 3 weeks in... there were latch issues and I had to supplement the first week. I’m giving myself a break due to emotion/physical need then will try to re-approach soon with nipple shields. I’ve been to a LC and plan to use her tips.

Currently exclusively pumping every 3 hours during the day and every 4 hours at night. I keep reading that this should go on for 10-12 weeks.

1. What volumes will I be pumping once I reach that point? (Currently pumping 32-40oz per day and he eats 24oz per day)

2. Do you really need to do this 10-12 weeks this often???

3. Are there any moms out there that also have to avoid dairy due to baby having milk protein allergy?!

I know I can do this but mentally I have to convince myself and remind myself why I’m doing this... I’m a first time mom and I didn’t expect this to be the hardest part of everything! How do women do this!! ??
