Didn’t try to find heartbeat?

Okay so this has been bothering me. Went to doc at what I thought was 6w2d, he did ultrasound and said I was only 5w5-6d...okay fine...but he didn’t even zoom in or anything or try to see a heartbeat. He was just like “yep you’re pregnant. We won’t be able to see anything else. Come back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound and testing” (he didn’t take blood work or anything else). But then on here I see ppl with similar fetal age having ultrasounds and getting heartbeat, pics, etc. Kinda just makes me nervous, and is a bit annoying. 🤷🏻‍♀️😅

Heart might not even be beating yet? It obvious to see because it's like a flicker on the screen

If he didn’t send you for blood work I’d take it as a good sign, he’s not worried something is wrong. You can usually tell by the look on their faces if something is amiss

I was 5w2d at my first ultrasound and there were only sacs. 2 weeks later there were babies and heartbeats. It’s really early

It's the same here. They don't really do anything until 8wks. I have my first ultrasound. Then I don't have an appointment at our OBS clinic until 12 wks. I think it's quite common. 
I had some severe cramping at 5 wks so had some tests done but it just made me worry more. I think that's why they don't do much until around 8 wks because it's worrisome if you don't see anything.

This happened to me to. Said so far so good didn’t tell me heartbeat or give me pics. I was 6 weeks

Went in Wednesday for my first appt. had a vaginal ultrasound. I was thinking I was about 9.3 but he backed me up to 8.2 ish. We could see the heartbeat! So it may just not be visible for you yet! I didn’t get any bloodwork done yet either.
