Finally can share mine

Sarah

First off this app has been so awesome to me my whole pregnancy! Now it’s my turn to share my birth story :).

I was originally due Jan 29th but after lots of ultrasounds and being diagnosed with IUGR it was moved to Feb 9th. (I still think it was Jan 29th, I knew when I had my last period and my husband and I were trying for this baby) Anyways after a crazy pregnancy I finally gave birth to my beautiful daughter last night 1-25-19. So last month I started to have blood in my urine and my kidney started hurting so I’m like ok it’s a kidney stone. I get these all the time. But this time this kidney stone was huge and obstructing so they told me I needed to have a surgery to put a stent in to unblock the kidney. So at 34 weeks I had surgery. It was scary but baby and I were fine. Now fast forward 3 weeks later, that stent has been a nightmare to me!! I can feel it 24/7 in my kidney. It sucks so bad! I literally have been living on Tylenol and heating pads for the past 3 weeks plus taking care of my other 4 children at home :/. It’s been rough. So to finally give birth was bitter sweet. I couldn’t enjoy my last few weeks since that stent had been hurting me constantly....anyways so on Thursday I woke up having contractions, this went on all day long every 5-6 mins apart. I thought ok maybe this is it, so I had a doctor appt Friday at 10:45 so I’m like I’m just going to see what happens and wait to see my doctor tmr. By the end of Thursday my contractions started to fizzle out so I’m like alright prolly false labor again. Wake up Friday again with pain but kidney pain so I’m like ugh. Go to my appointment for my weekly nst test. Except this time I’m contracting so much and strong contractions, doctors like do you feel these? I’m like hello yes I feel these lol, so he checks me, and goes oh ok well you’re 3/4cm and my bloody show comes out. He’s like you’re in labor!! I’m like whattttt ok ok! Call my husband tell him I’m being sent to labor and delivery. At this point I dilated another cm just from me walking from office to L&D. They did give me some pitocin to speed things up, and by 7:07pm my beautiful Ariana was born!! It was a crazy fast delivery. With that stent in me I felt it with every contractions even after getting an epidural! I literally went from a 7cm to a 10 in the matter of 15 mins. I pushed for 4 mins and she was out! No tears or stitches!! This was my 4th and last pregnancy! We have a blended family so now we have 5 kids all together. My husbands first daughter and he is over the moon with her. I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.

If you made it this far, thanks for reading my birth story :)
