It's finally my turn!

Y'all, I struggled hard with this pregnancy in every way. My story is brief, but I can't help but share my happiness. Baby Lily Michele was breech right up until the very end. That paired with gestational hypertension meant early delivery via c-section. I had pictured having my first baby since I was just a little girl and this was just NOT how it was supposed to go. But I had to do what was best for me and my little girl. My surgical team was amazing and allowed me to have a clear drape so I could see what was going on. On January 25th at 8:56am, I got to see my perfect little girl enter this world. She's 20 inches long and weighs 8 pounds 14 ounces. I was so concerned that we would have a hard time breastfeeding because of the c-section, but she latched immediately and has been doing amazing. I am such a proud Mama and I have never been more in love.
