It’s not a race.
Something that’s been on my heart and I wanted to share.
Ever since I’ve been pregnant it feels like non pregnant and especially pregnant women are in a race with one another. And I think it has to stop.
As if how many weeks / months you are , or how big or small your baby is or even your body is progressing is determining you ahead of everyone else.
As if the pain you’re in is a contest, to whom is in the “most pain”.
I used to think that women who had kids before me where ahead of me in life. Since being pregnant, I realized this is just MY time.
Maybe instead of gushing out your story, your problems , your experiences while a fellow pregnant woman is telling you hers, maybe just listen, tell them you hear them. Send some love. Some positive energy and some cute emojis. Or a casserole.
Because at the end of the day, we are all women who are on a journey bringing life into this world, together.
350,000 woman around the world will be birthing with you at the same time. Feel that woman power. Let it soak into your soul.
Let us waddle along side each other, rather than racing to end of life’s journey. ♥️
