Arthritis?

Anyone deal with arthritis pre-pregnancy and have issues now? 35 weeks and my knee and ankle hurt so bad. They are bruised and swollen and tylenol just isn’t doing the trick!

I have rheumatoid arthritis and I feel bad saying this but pregnancy always makes me feel like a million bucks. This is my second pregnancy and I have more energy and less pain now than I did before. It was the same for my first pregnancy. I did have a massive flare up about 5 months before I got pregnant with this Bub though.

I’m in the same boat as you😩 I have psoriatic arthritis and I can’t take anything for it. So I deal with swollen toes that are almost purple. I constantly have heat on my feet and if my knee acts up from my arthritis too i try to heat that too. It’s so hard being in so much pain and not being able to take anything that will help for it.

Ask your ortho about vascosupplementation, usually only 70 year olds get it but I’ve gotten it for years and it is totally safe for pregnancy. You can also get a steroid shot or two which is also safe! Talk to your ortho and make sure you do you PT to keep you muscles strong

I have lupus and fibromyalgia, so far only the fibromyalgia has broke through. Pregnancy is a blessing for my lupus. I've heard though that pregnancy can make you hurt all over so if you have suffered prior to pregnancy it may feel the same as the other pains you have had.
