Boyfriend and money

So I’m a stay at home mom/girlfriend. My boyfriend works in the plants and makes decent enough money. We have been together nearly 5 years and have a kid together. I do everything I should do. Cook, clean, take care of our toddler and take care of him when he is home. I literally do everything for him except wipe his ass and give him a shower. But yet I need permission to spend money on something for myself. I never get me time or anything but he can do whatever, whenever if he ain’t working. Is it wrong of me to be not like asking permission to spend a little money on myself?? I usually like buying books and puzzles. Just small things like that and he knows I won’t spend a lot of money.
