Is it too late at 40?

Hi 
I turned 40 in December but my partner and I have been TTC for over a year. Has anyone managed to conceive at this age? I’m really worried that it might not happen for me but every month we still keep on trying.

I’m 39, turning 40 in April and got my ++ last week. This is first pregnancy for me. My partner and I have been far away from each other for our work for over a year and we were only able to meet for a couple of days twice last year and once this year so far so I can’t really say we’ve been trying hard. Obviously I wasn’t in the right days the first two times. When we met for the New Year I wasn’t checking my ovulation or even expecting it to happen right now. In fact I thought I would never make it because of my age and we just let nature decide for us when the best time would be. It turned out that I was actually in my fertile window at that time and we had sex about 6 times in the two days we were together. After 2 weeks and missed period the test came up positive. 
So keep trying and never give up. It will come when you least expect it. 🙏🏻🤞

Never. I had my first at 39. Last December found out I'm pregnant again at 46.

Have you gotten your hormone levels checked? Also if you like reading you should read “it starts with the egg” very informative for women over 35. You can improve egg quality with some lifestyle changes. Baby dust to you!

I conceived my first at 40, unfortunately was a preterm stillbirth (due to placental infection, not age related). Now at 41 we just starting to try again. Several doctors have told me they don’t consider me too old just slightly higher risk.

40 is still possible, but much better chance with fertility treatments.
