Alcohol and breastfeeding

Is it truly necessary to pump and dump after drinking? Or just wait about 2 hours until feeding? Do ppl say not to feed after drinking because of safety concerns for baby (falling asleep on baby,dropping baby) or is there really alcohol being passed on ? No judgements plz
