Coming off birth control

Hi all! I was on MonoNessa for about 9 months. I stopped taking it about two weeks ago and my period ended a week ago. I've been having headaches a lot more frequently since stopping it. Is that a normal side effect from stopping birth control? I'm a 19 year old virgin and I don't drink anything other than water on a regular basis so I think it would have to be the hormone change causing them. How long does it take for my body to regulate? Is there anything I can do to help prevent the headaches other than living off of ibuprofen? Thanks!
