How will the journey start to you having your baby?

I was curious what the breakdown was of how the journey will start for us to meet our babies. I’m also curious if you are doing an induction/c section for a medical reason, what was the reason given by your doctor?

My original plan was for labor to start on its own, but my water broke, or started leaking at 37w2d. After 12 hours of no contractions I opted to start a low dose of pitocin and 3 hours later, the Dr completely broke my waters. Then it was on! 9 hours later our second son was born.

I mean I hope to go into labor on my own but we shall see what this little girl has planned for her grand entrance lol

I had a c-section with my 1st, 6 years ago. My body is just not built for childbirth. I have a very narrow pelvis, and when I had my son, he got stuck. My doctor was very open about letting me try v-bac, but said the outcome would most likely be the same as my bone structure hadn't seemed to change. Figured that yes, its inconvenient and a longer recovery, but if its safest for baby, that's what needs to be done.

I’ll be having my third c section in 4 weeks at 37 weeks

I was told at the beginning of my pregnancy that they will not let me go past my due date because my first was so large and they had no clue because of how I was carrying. I have an appointment later this morning and i'll be asking what they plan on doing if this little one is too cozy in mama's tummy, but I had a successful vaginal delivery with my 9.3 lbs 22inch and 14 cm completely round headed baby with no tearing at 41 weeks on the dot!

Would love for labor to start on its own. But spoke with doctors about elective induction at due date with my sister being in town I don’t want to go past due date. I may also need to be induced early should my bile levels keep rising. So we will see.... gotta be open and flexible

I answered based on my first child. 6 days past due my water broke on its own at midnight while I was sleeping. Contractions started on their own as well.

Doctors won’t let me go past 37 weeks due to IUGR and oligo. We go for our next growth scan on Monday and will schedule induction then. They are going to let me try for a vaginal delivery but give me a time limit since they don’t want to stress the baby out, and then if needed to a c-section.

Induced again. Have GD and am on insulin so they won’t let me go past 39 weeks
