How do you know ?

How do you know when you’re in love or love someone? Like it’s hard for me to get intact with the feeling and emotion of love. But when I’m around this guy I just feel comfort at ease! He is my safe place. I would go the extra mile for him at any cost. But is it love or lust. Btw we did have sex before. We actually lost our car virginity to each other haha. But he shows he love me. Yes he has told me he love me before and we both have been done wrong from our past relationships very wrong at that. But how do IIIII know I’m in love or love him?
