IUD advice
I got a Mirena IUD in January 2018 after having my daughter. Before deciding to conceive, I had been on the pill for years with no problems. I knew there was an adjustment period with an IUD, my doctor told me 3-6 months. Here I am more than a year later and still don't feel like it's right. I have very irregular bleeding. I haven't had an identifiable period in three months, just several irregular days of spotting. Then this week, full period hits. I feel more moody and hormonal than ever in my life. I expected all of this in the first few months, but not one year out. Also, I've gained about 20 pounds since having it, now weighing more than I did at 9 months pregnant, but my doctor says Mirena is unlikely the reason. I like the convenience and effectiveness rate, but that's about all right now, so I'm thinking of getting it out. Any ladies have similar experience or advice on another IUD option? Or just go back to pill?
