Where did your baby sleep before 6 months old?

I'm trying to decide how big of a priority I want to make setting up the nursery. Right now the room that's intended to be a nursery is a guest bedroom, and I'm considering leaving it that way and just setting up a bassinet in my room.  
My husband's contract will be up in the beginning of March 2020 and I'm due in September, so even if he doesn't take a single day of terminal the baby will be at most 6 month old when we move back to Colorado.

I’d wait. My two girls stayed in my bedroom with me until 7-8 months and plan on doing the same with my son. My girls need to be moved into the same room so I don’t have my son’s nursery set up until that happens. Kind of dreading them sharing a room. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Looking back I wonder why I was so dead set on getting the nursery ready before baby came. But we really only use it for diaper changes and the rocker, as it won’t fit in our bedroom. In your situation, if you’re going to be moving when baby is six months, maybe it’s not worth it? If you can fit everything necessary in your bedroom it seems that would be the better option.
