Burning after sex?

So I had a yeast infection and got Monistat 3 but it burned sooo bad I couldn’t bring myself to do the 3rd night of it. So my doctor sent a prescription for the 1 pill that cures yeast infections. It took me a week to find time to pick it up from the pharmacy (I know I should’ve done it sooner) but during that time the itching had stopped so I thought it just went away. But whenever I have sex, I feel like the the walls of my vagina are sore and it hurts! Especially after sex it burns a little and it usually never does.. could it be the infection that is still there? The only symptoms I feel is when I have sex. I took the antibiotic yesterday and I’m still feeling this when I have sex.

Does anyone have experience with this?
