Should I re-pierce?

So early this morning I woke up and the jewelry from my nose piercing came out during the night (I’ve only had it 18 days {2 weeks and 4 days}) and the skin already started to grow over the hole.... should I wait till it’s healed and get it pierced again, just do it now or not do it again at all?? (I want my nose pierced but the stud when it was in just wouldn’t stay so if I get my nose done again can I just get a hoop??)
