I dislike how my significant other parents
We have two little ones, our oldest is 3 and going through a stage of not wanting to listen. I’m a really laid back but consistent parent, I don’t yell much and I explain why something is not okay. My husband on the other hand raises his voice and threatens with time out on the first offense a lot. I really feel like my husbands too harsh, but every time I tell him he should ease up he tells me I’m not allowing him to parent. Idk what to do. I want to raise loving, respectful, free spirited children . My husband thinks that as long as our children are raised to have respect everything else will fall in place. Please is there anyone out there with advice? Has anyone gone through what I’m currently going through?
EDIT: Thank all you ladies for your advice!!!
@Kay obviously we both take our parenting very serious, we had thoughts on how we both would be as parents, but once our oldest started going through this phase we both tried to adjust. I hope your judgmental post made you feel better as a parent.
