Chlamydia and oral?

I just tested positive for Chlamydia. The last guy I had sex with was the guy that gave it to me, which was in November. I just started dating my boyfriend and we haven’t had sex yet, but we have done oral multiple times. I’m freaking out. If he went down on me, and then we kissed, and then I went down on him, is it possible that he has Chlamydia now??!!

If he went down on you then there is a possibility. By law you have to tell him. Trust me I know it sucks i cried and didn’t get any sleep the night before I had to tell my current partner. We didn’t get tested before so idk if he gave it to me or I did. But we got treated and now going on 8 months. This happened after month of dating. Stay strong! Get treated ASAP!

You DO need to inform him that you just tested positive, regardless of the sexual activities you have partaken in. He will still need to get checked, even though transmission through oral sex is rare, it’s not impossible.
