Can they not tell you?

Question

So I had an internal scan yesterday at the hospital and have been sent a message by my GP to go in and see them tomorrow-I’m guessing to discuss the results. I’m just wondering, is the sonographer not able to tell you? 
If your pregnant?
Something looks wrong? 
PCOS possibly? 
Can anyone help? X

I’m a tech and we are not allowed to diagnose. If we give the patient the wrong information, it can cause a lot of issues so we leave it up to the doctor to decide whether it is normal or abnormal.

They can tell you some things, but if it's fertility etc then they send it to the consultants to discuss the next steps. I had a scan in December and I just kept firing questions at her lol.

Where I go the tech is not allowed to say anything. Results have to come from the doctor, normal or abnormal. The reason they told me was because they had a tech tell a patient information that was completely wrong and it caused a lot of issues. Everywhere is different though.

Update - doc just said PCOS so have an appointment with gynaecologist Tuesday xx
