How did you get through your first baby?

I'm a FTM and it's finally hitting me that I'm having my baby in 11 short days... I'm nervous as all heck. How did you get through the drastic life changes that come with having your first child? What did you do to keep your sanity? If you lived in an apartment like I do- Did you get complaints because of baby crying? I'm so anxious for all of these things....

Leave the house! Don’t let the germs scare you. Put in real clothes and cover that car seat and get out and about. It works wonders for your sanity!

Lean in to help as much as you can and try not to feel guilty.  Neighbors can endure some crying, it will all get better and people understand!  It’s a big ajustment for you and your family so be kind to yourself and let go of small things.  Kids are resilient :)  did I say let others help you and don’t hesitant to reach out for help too!  You will do great!

My biggest piece of advice is when you are going through the tough stages they will pass 💕 parenting is like riding a series of waves there are wonderful times and other times where you feel like you are loosing your sanity I’ve found trying to look at the tough aspects as a season that will soon pass it’s easier to cope with them. And when you need it take some time for yourself & try not to hyper focus on all the things you need to get done around the house they aren’t going anywhere😂 try to enjoy the newborn stage and that first year it goes a lot quicker than it feels like it is at the time. Accept help when family and friends offer as for your concern about crying most people are more understanding of crying that you’d think especially if they are parents themselves
