First Appt at 8 Weeks: Waiting Too Long?

I'm 4 weeks 6 days today; I called my doctor to schedule an appt. They said they could see me on 2/22 but I'm going to be out of town. The next appt they had open was on 3/1. I'll be 8 weeks. Should I be seeing a doctor before then? Is there any risk to waiting that long? 
I'm very new to all of this and would love some advice. 😊

Mine said 8 to 10 weeks. The goal is to find baby and the heart beat. So, that's usually the next range.

My doctor won’t see anyone earlier than 10 weeks unless an issue occurs or they have a history of miscarriage.

8 weeks is a normal time to go if you are not a high risk patient. You should be fine

Do you guys know what they will do at the 8 weeks ? They told me ultrasound but no mention of blood test. So until then I just do what ? Lool any suggestions on things that should be done till then and if you could elaborate on what to extort the first app pls ?🙏🏻🙏🏻

I had the same concern too. But my midwife told me to come in at week 8-9. So I’m painfully I mean patiently waiting for March 5 to come around. I’ll be 9w1d at that point.

I’m not being seen until 9 1/2 weeks. Not much they can do or see until around then, so they just have you wait, which I hate 😖
