Sushi ?

I was craving sushi. Like my mouth would water and all I wanted was teriyaki rolls and California rolls so not thinking anything of it, I ordered it then ate it.  After that I remembered hearing that pregnant women should not eat sushi so I freaked out, called my mom and sisters. They said its ok and everything.. I over think it but has anyone else eaten these while pregnant?

California rolls are cooked crab, and teriyaki rolls are usually also cooked. You’re fine! I still eat sushi while pregnant. I only eat at the places I have been eating for 6+ years, and never been sick. Stay away from high mercury fish, and raw fish in general.

Anything uncooked you obviously want to avoid though some of it can be okay if you slip as long as it’s lower in mercury.

I eat raw sushi 🤷🏻‍♀️ (like other poster said, only from reputable place). Your items were cooked. The concern is raw fish that’s contaminated with worms or old fish, etc.

As long as it’s cooked you’re fine just don’t eat a whole bunch of it!

I ate ceviche and I was pregnant and I didn't know .. so I think you are ok. But try to avoid eating you can have sushi cooked if you still craving.

I ate sushi a couple of times a month throughout my entire pregnancy. Uncooked. If you're eating it from a reputable source/restaurant where they're storing everything properly then there shouldn't be an issue. And also make sure you're consuming fish that is low in mercury. Salmon is a great one. Super healthy for you!
