I don't even know how to feel

So I just left my 36 week appointment. Lincoln is 5lbs and 6 oz and looks healthy, but we found out he is breech. He has been head down since 16 weeks so it was a shock to all of us, even the doctor. We decided not to allow her to flip the baby due to the risks involved and the fact that it may not even work. I don't know anything about a c section birth and was processing everything so I didn't ask any questions. Can anyone tell me about their experience or what to expect? Also anything I need that will be different for a c section? Any and all information is greatly appreciated! I know we still have time, but my little man is so dang stubborn and I don't have much amniotic fluid left so I feel like our fate has been sealed. Plus, I'd rather be prepared than not of course.
