So me and my bf came up with our delivery room list already and it’s him,my best friends and my sister. Today my mom showed interest in wanting to be there(like straight up asked me if she could be) I don’t wanna boot my sister but she has he own stuff going on and I’m not sure if she’s going to be able to be there. My bf says he’d prefer my sister to my mom. What do i do?

I've heard a number of midwives warn against having mothers in delivery rooms unless they are the sole support the birthing woman has. But I don't know what kind of relationship you have with your mom.

Do what will make you most comfortable. Don’t have people there if you think they will cause any kind of anxiety or stress for you. Only allow people who will contribute to your relaxation and joy. If you don’t want your mom there, kindly don’t allow it. She will get over it. Your peace of mind is key to a positive labor and delivery experience.
