Breast milk storage

I forgot it’s only good for up to 8 days in the fridge so I just had to throw out like 20 oz from when my milk first came in 😭

For all you new moms, breast milk can be stored in the fridge (back of fridge not the door of the fridge) for up to 8 days. 5 is recommended, 3 is ideal.

Freshly pumped milk needs to be stored within 6 hours of pumping. It can be kept good for 1 day on ice packs.

Frozen milk can last up to a year, though use within 3 months is ideal to maintain all vitamins etc.
