Should I get an epidural ?

Question

Did you get one? Do you regret getting it? Would you get it again? 
FTM here just nervous about it I’ve heard pros and cons about it just trying to see some opinions here

With my first I was so against getting an epidural, I wanted a NATURAL birth. Once the contractions started getting worse and it got harder to control my breathing I decided to go ahead and get it and I do not regret that decision at all! Honestly I didnt feel a thing and pushing time was 10 mins tops!

FTM as well. Didn't get the epidural. I definitely do not regret it, it was an experience I'm glad I chose to go through. 27.5 hours of labor, 1 hour of pushing. No one can answer your question for you as in should you get an epidural. Its completely up to your mindset. Just remember your body wont let you go through more pain than u can handle. Lots of breathing. You can also recieve laughing gas & morphine.

Got one both times and loved it! Such a life saver and made both of my labors (I have two daughters) so much better! Everyone’s different but I loved mine! Lol

No one can answer than for you. You’ll do what you need to while in labor. Labor and birth are unlike anything you’ll ever experience. Things don’t always happen the way you want or expect, and you’ll do a lot of improvising. I had no choice with either of my births. My first I was in labor 19 hours, pushed for 2.5 and it ended in an emergency C-section because my hips wouldn’t allow a baby to pass. My second birth was twins but they came very early. We’d already decided on a c-section because of the position of one baby and some other issues. My water broke early, I spent a while in the hospital on bed rest trying to stall labor. After a few weeks it wasn’t possible to stall any longer and I went into labor. Labored all day and then had a C-section late at night. Even in the hospital things didn’t go as planned. Have a rough plan, discuss all of your options and do what you feel is right during labor and birth.

I had it the first time, & it was AMAZING. I’ve never had any “back pain”, or weird side effects. We’ll see how this labor goes in a couple of weeks 🤔 
Also, I know as a FTM, you’re nervous & want all the info you can get, but when the time comes, you’ll know (:

Whomever created the epidural is a God in my eyes. I had one with my first. My second, I couldn't as I was too far along.

I had it with both births. I wait as long as i can though, so i can still move around if i want to.

First time mom as well I decided to get the epidural to only find out that it didn’t work so I had to suck it up and deal with the pain. Gawd it was a pain I can’t describe but definitely worth it trust me when it comes down to it the only thought on your mind is getting that baby out!!!!
