Linea nigra...old wives tale?

So I was using my Doppler today and my fiancé noticed that I was developing a Linea nigra. Which I hadn't noticed and couldnt see myself until I got in front of a mirror lol. I was reading about it and supposedly there is an old wives tale saying if your line runs from your breast bone all the way down to your pubic bone you may be expecting a boy where if your line runs from your belly bottom to your pubic bone you could be having a girl. I'm just curious, for those of you who either know the sex of your baby already or have previously given birth was this something that was true for you??

I've had 3 boys, and I have had the line only in my first pregnancy which is so weird, and from belly button down.

I can’t see mine at all this pregnancy, which this is my 4th and I know, I’ve seen it in previous pregnancies.  I’m having a girl.

I had it from breast bone to pubic bone with first and it was a boy. I’m nearly 20 weeks and haven’t got it at all this time but I don’t know what I’m having. I think girl cause my pregnancy has been so different.

Mine runs from my belly to my pubic bone and she’s a girl lol.. I never heard of this but it seems to be true for me and fun to see what everyone else has.
