Is my baby getting enough?

My 3.5 month old is teething terribly. Here lately he’s been sleeping 14 hours a day which isn’t like him. Also, he’s only been eating 4oz of formula and about 1 hour on the breast broken down throughout the day. I just want to make sure he’s getting enough, it seems like he used to eat a lot more before he started teething.

As long as your pediatrician is liking his weight gain and as long as there are multiple dirty diapers a day especially pee diapers then he should be okay. Does he seem content/happy after he eats or does he often cry for more? If you are concerned contact your pediatrician and ask her to do a check up on him.

You should get in touch with an IBCLC if you haven’t already- they can do a weighted feed and assess current intake and help troubleshoot how teething and other things can impact breastfeeding/supply.

We are using infant tylenol and teethers also made today face cloths soaked in camomile tea put in the freezer. If your concerned though I'd talk to your pediatrician

Idk if hes getting enough because my daughter is 3 so i dont remember tbh, but honestly best thing to do is help baby find relief for the mouth pain.

You can try making baby food ice cubes and putting it in one of those nuk chewers. It has like a little net so no big chunks can come through. But yeah thats normal. The sucking motion is probably irritating to his mouth. You could try to give the baby cool milk instead of it being warm?
