Can they miss twins on 6 week ultrasound??

Question

So i used my Doppler today & showed my mom the video & she swears she can hear two. I don’t hear two & neither does my step dad or my boyfriend. I had an ultrasound 4 weeks ago at 6 weeks & im now 10. It was abdominal, only one sac so they’d be identical if there was to be twins. But they didn’t see another yolk sac or baby then so i think maybe my moms just crazy? 😂

It could be possible that they missed it because one of them could be hiding behind the other with it being so early. I guess you'll find out on your next scan.

A friend of mine had an early scan and no twins were detected. At her 14 week scan she was having twins.

She could of been hearing the placenta, or you never know there could be twins since the first ultrasound was so early, but I wouldn’t have your house set on it. You could go to a 3rd party ultrasound place and pay out of pocket. They would be able to tell you if there are twins.
