IUI with Letrozole! No trigger shot or follicle scan =(
We are staring our 1st
with Letrozole (CD3-CD7). Today, I'm on CD2. Joining this group, reading everyone's experience, watching videos on YouTube, I hope we aren't missing out on anything. As we are paying from your pocket for the treatment, we just want to make sure, we are being monitored. However, my dr never talked about trigger shots nor when I talked to the nurse yesterday on CD1, she never mentioned anything about follicle scan/ultrasound. It sounded like we basically take Letrozole and wait for positive opk then go there for
IUI
procedure. Being said that, has anyone had successful
IUI
without trigger shot or follicle scan/ultrasound? I would love to hear your experience. Thank you!
UPDATE: Nurse called me back today. She told me that dr doesn't want us to do trigger shot or follicle test/ultrasound as I have had no problem ovulating on my own. However, if I really want to do it then, it's $70 for each ultrasound ($100 starting March 2019) and there is extra cost for trigger shots (apparently, I dont need it for now). I guess they know better than I do.
