im 14, i suffer from something i just need a diagnosis. i am worried that if i do get a psychiatrist they will just throw drugs at me but i want to know a little insight on what goes on and how everything works . is it possible to be prescribed medical marijuana instead of a type of pill? please help

As a psych nurse, no psychiatrist will give a 14 year old medical marijuana. If they do they should have their license revoked. They will probably start you out with some therapy. Maybe a low dose antidepressant if you're really bad.

A psychiatrist isn't necessarily just going to give you a prescription of anything. First they would most likely want you to start with some sessions with a psychologist to properly diagnose you. You're definitely not going to get marijuana from a psychiatrist at 14.

It’s against standard of care to prescribe adolescents marijuana, especially since inducing psychosis is a legitimate issue. 
Talk to your doc, they’ll work with you.
