How long did your “honeymoon phase” last?

Just curious, share your experiences and what the honeymoon phase means to you. Personally, I’ve been in a relationship for 2 years now and we are still in it. It seems like all of my friends’ relationships go through it for a few months and then it fizzles out. I don’t really believe in it, I believe that if you balance the natural affection with purposeful affection, the relationship will stay strong and honeymoon-like. Lmk your thoughts!!

I met my husband when I was 14. Next week will be our 2 year marriage anniversary and the 10 year anniversary of our first date. I wouldn’t say we’re still in the “honeymoon” phase, but that the giddiness of that kind of phase comes and goes at various points in our relationship. 
We got excited and giddy with each other when we moved in together, when we got engaged, when we got married, and when we decided to start TTC. The “phase” isn’t always there because we still have day-to-day lives where we see each other everyday and life can be boring sometimes, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have days where we giggle and have butterflies when we’re doing something fun together.

Hubby and I have been together almost 9 years. Our honeymoon phase lasted about 4-5 years. We couldn’t keep our hands off of each other, went to bed together, slept spooning all night, held hands when we walked anywhere. Just completely enamoured of each other.  We are still very much in love and both purposely love each other but we don’t spoon all night now, Just at the beginning, we don’t always go to bed at the same time. Little things are more relaxed

My husband and I have been together 6 years and married for 3 years. I don’t think we’ve ever had a “honeymoon” phase at least not in the way people describe it. We were friends 3 years before dating and we’ve just always been relaxed and natural around each other, there was never any nervousness or rush of love or anything of that nature; it was calm, slow, and comforting which is what made me fall in love with him. No offense but when I hear people talk about that phase it makes me think of puppy love, but if your relationship is constantly passionate and full of all those feelings then it’s just your relationship not the “honeymoon phase”
