How long did you bleed?

How long did you bleed after having your IUD inserted? I had Mirena inserted over a month ago and I'm still spotting. I remember bleeding for a while when I had my first IUD inserted but I can't remember how long and it's getting really irritating!

I had my IUD inserted in December 2014 and didn't stop bleeding until about May. The WORST 5 months ever. I wanted it out so bad. But now that I've finally stopped bleeding constantly, I'm doing so much better.

when I first got my Mirena inserted, I want to say I bled consistently for a good 3-4 weeks, and then had a maybe 2 weeks after that of moderate-light periods and spotting before it actually stopped. Before I got an IUD, I had periods that were really long and heavy, so that may skew my results but I hope this helps!

I got my IUD put in 5/15/15 and I've been bleeding ever since. I've gone on to have it checked and the doctor says it's normal to bleed for 4-6 months after insertion. UGH

I got mine two years ago and still spot regularly. I've went in to get it checked and it's in the correct position and I was told everything is fine. Every one is different!
