Breastfeeding/spitting up
Anybody else breastfeeding and not using bottles or pacifiers? Does your baby spit up often?
If you breastfeed and use a pacifier, does your baby spit up often?
If you breastfeed and use a pacifier, how are you able to tell when your baby is hungry vs. when they just want to suck?
I’m starting to wonder if my baby comfort nursing all the time is causing her tummy to overfill which is leading to the spitting up. I’m not sure
Her doctor isn’t worried about the spitting up unless it is a weird color or if she stops gaining weight. It’s just gotten to where we are both changing clothes multiple times a day. I read that most babies grow out of it by 4-6 months but if I can find some way to make it less often each day, that’d be nice.
She’s 6 weeks old and I’m considering a pacifier. We have held off on giving her one due to a tongue tie and trying to prevent nipple confusion. I tried giving her a pacifier one time and she gagged and then projectile vomited everywhere..
So anyways.. Open to others experiences
