Positive opk and no ovulation?

Can you get a positive opk and then not ovulate? I’m asking cause my cycle this month was 38 long... I just got my period and I’m completely lost. I read that getting longer that usual cycle means that maybe you didn’t ovulate that cycle. Any help?

Answer

Sometimes you’ll get a surge and not ovulate at all that month, or ovulate late. Some women don’t ovulate till day 22 or even later.
