Too clingy?

So my partner keeps saying I'm too clingy but even today I gave him a kiss and a cuddle when he woke up and apparently even that's too clingy. Feeling down and shit about myself because I just want a little bit of intimacy with him but even a kiss and a cuddle is too much. We have been together for almost 5 years and are engaged.

Happened to me, too. He had said I was too clingy when I wanted sex all the time,  then later when I wanted to kiss him, then when I wanted physical attention like hugs (since I didn't get sex or kisses anymore,  lol). And then he said we were too much like friends, not like boyfriend-girlfriend. Can you believe that? That was not a healthy relationship.

I can relate, My DH says the same even though its jokingly I know he means it and 12 years its still something I have to remind him. I don't doubt he loves me but he is not the  affectionate type. I know this sounds petty but it got to the point that I told him that I need affection and if he doesn't give that to me, then I will not fulfill his needs either. It got a bit better since then, but its not constant. Sorry it not probably what you want to hear, but this does remind me that being in a relationship is work.

I'm sorry, but he doesn't sound like he's interested anymore. Maybe try talking to him about how you feel and see what he says. He might just have other things on his mind and didn't realise it was upsetting you
