Sharp pains

I thought I caught a stomach bug. I was super nauseous.. and I was having sharp upper abdomen pain. Well two day past and I realize my period is late.. took a pregnancy test and immediately got a positive. According to my cycle I’m 4w5d

I’m still having the random sharp upper under my rib cage pain. My healthcare provider said cramps are normal.. I’ve been pregnant before and I’ve never felt these type of cramps. They said they will see me when I’m 8weeks.. could I be having a ectopic pregnancy?
