First IUI - is cramping normal?

This morning at 8:45 I went in for my very first IUI. The procedure was super easy and not uncomfortable at all. It's now 6:30PM and I'm cramping pretty bad (probably like a 4-5 on the pain scale) I normally feel cramping when ovulating, but not this bad...is this a normal side effect?

I didn’t have any cramping but was told when I left that it would be completely normal if I did! Baby dust to you!

I didn’t cramp too badly on my first IUI, but I this second one that we did on the 25th was a bit more intense.  I took the rest of the day off from work and just relaxed. But it’s normal to experience moderate cramping.

Yes That’s normal . I just finish my second IUI yesterday and I been cramping. I just spent that day relaxing

Did you do a trigger shot? I was crampy for all three of mine. For me I don’t think it was the actual IUI I think it was ovulation with the trigger.

Normal.  I was crampy after iui last cycle

I was cramping on the day of IUI even before the procedure. I wonder if the trigger shot does that or if it was the fact that I had 2 dominant follicles. I have been super bloated the last few days. Still bloating and cramping now (did IUI yesterday).
