Would you still shop at a store who didn’t accept a type of credit card?
Smith’s just released a statement saying they will no longer accept visa credit cards due to high merchant fees 4/3. Their intention is to pass that savings to the consumer by declining visa credit cards. A lot of people have been outraged saying they will no longer shop at Smith’s because of the change. Visa debit is still accepted as well as other credit card companies, just not visa.
Would you still shop at Smith’s (or another grocery store you liked) if they excluded a card you might use?
**My personal opinion is that is a silly reason to not shop at a store who is trying to save the consumer money.
