I'm 17 I'm pregnant with my first child I'm not working at the moment im trying to finish school first but my boyfriend is I don't know the gender of my baby yet but what can I do to get ahead on things ? I want to be very prepared when my baby comes 😊 also what are some ways we can save a little money on baby things ?

Don’t over buy or buy expensive things it’s really unnecessary. Go to second hand shops for clothes or have family pass down things. I recommend buying a new crib or get one from someone you know. Do NOT buy a used car seat. This is the one thing you really need to buy new just find a sale.

Facebook swap sites , goodwill, ask any family if they have anything from thier most recent kids that they can donate , we literally spent MAYBE $400 in TOTAL for everything our son has and he's pretty set till about 9months on everything but diapers , which I have around 1800 of (my baby is on his last package of newborn this week. We had about 175 in newborn, have about 800 size 1 about 600 size 2 and about 200 size 3 so he's set on those till about 4 -6 months old, they were all donated at my shower I haven't bought any.)

I'm 17 and almost 31 weeks pregnant. Definitely get a job. You're gonna want to save as much as possible.  I work 4 jobs and go to school every other day for 3 hours just to finish the credits I need. I highly recommend looking into that. Yeah, working 4 jobs or even 1 job for that matter can be hard when trying to balance so many things, but that would be the best thing for you to do. I luckily have very supportive parents who wanted to buy baby stuff (thank goodness) but my boyfriend and I have bought most everything from Facebook market place, once upon a child, amazon, things like that. So just try that.

Not sure where your from but around where I live we have places like kid to kid, and once upon a child , that are sort of like baby thrift stores . They make sure any clothes and baby stuff they take are in good condition. I’ve gotten probably 40 onesies for just a dollar each . They have good sales all the time too . They even have bigger stuff like bassinets , strollers , swings , all for way cheaper than brand new. I don’t know the gender of my lil one yet either so I’ve only been buying gender neutral.

You can buy from consignment stores or off of Facebook market place. Save up to have a baby shower because that’s where I got the most. Start taking prenatals and eating better and drinking more water if you haven’t already.
