Membranes Stripped?

Question

I got my membranes stripped today. My dr warned me I may see some blood.  I had what looked more to me was my mucus plug. It was brown not red. This happen to anyone?

I'm hoping to have mine done tomorrow. I will be 38 weeks, how do you even ask for them to do that? I'm afraid they are going to look at me like "are you kidding? Why can't you just be patient?"

I had mine swept at 38 weeks and nothing happened. I had mine swept again today at 40 weeks and I also had brown discharge and I'm trying to figure out what it was.

I had mine done yesterday and my mucus plug came out this morning. Also been having intense contractions but it's only pre labor I guess😕😩

Was it painful? Might have that done to me this week.

After my first membrane sweep I lost my plug the next day.  You will know that it's your plug because it will be huge and mucousy.  Mine was hard and rubbery and as for colour that varies.  My was dark brown but some are clear.  I just had a membrane sweep yesterday and have been losing brown and fresh bloody mucous since.  I've also been getting intense and irregular (sometimes regular) contractions since but not dilating past 3cm so I have to suffer at home

I had mine stripped twice and it only caused cramping for a day or two but no contractions. I had the same experience, though, with the mucus. I think that just because it separates the membranes from the cervix a little, more mucus comes out. I thought it was painful and gross but worth trying as I was coming very near to my due date!
