Need some advice: husband and I aren’t on the same page.

As

So for some background I have a super low milk supply and we supplement with formula. This is our first child and I seem to be more of a “follow the doctor” kind of parent and my husband is a “it worked for our parents” kind of parent. My husband has been talking about giving our son oatmeal and rice cereal for a month now and I wanted to wait till he was 6 months, he’s 4 months now. As a compromise we agreed we would talk to the doctor at our next visit, and go with her advice. She advised us to hold off till our son was at least 5.5 months old. So I thought we where waiting.

Last night our son received some of his vaccines and was super fussy. My husband went to bed around 9pm and I fed my son his last bottle at 10:30pm and put him and myself to bed around 11pm. Around 12am he woke up and could not be comforted, I was rocking him, bouncing, singing, walking, I fed him some more and changed him. Nothing worked and after 2 hrs I decided I needed a break and some sleep so I woke up my husband around 2am to help. He told me to go to sleep and he would stay up, so I did.

This morning when I changed my sons dirty diaper it looked seedy and looked like it had little bits of oats in it (see diaper image below). I was furious thinking my husband fed him the oatmeal so I went to check the box we had. (My husband purchased it back when he first brought up the idea) The box was open, so I texted my husband and asked if he gave him oatmeal, he said no of course but I don’t believe him. I’m not sure what to do at this point, I’m furious I think he gave him the oatmeal and lied to me.

I’m not really sure what to do, Will this really hurt my son, so I need to watch out for anything?

Does the diaper look like he might have given him the oatmeal or am I just over reacting? My sons BMs are normally smooth and mushy with no lumps.
