Just had my first appointment and a bit surprised

I scheduled it as both a prenatal and annual gyn visit. Now, I haven’t had a pap in about 5 years so I just kind of assumed they’d do one, I let them know I hadn’t seen a doctor for anything in that long when I made the appointment and reminded the doctor when I got there.

So now I’m 8+4.

They took down my pregnancy history, weighed me, and did a blood draw...

And that was it.

I had no physical exam whatsoever. They didn’t even ask how I’ve been feeling. I brought up that I’ve had some pretty severe morning sickness and diarrhea and have lost 10 lbs and was told that’s normal. They had me schedule another appointment in 2 weeks time.

I just left feeling like I wasted a morning off work for nothing 🤷‍♀️ if they were only going to run labs then they should have just had me go to the lab instead of spending two hours at the clinic for nothing.
