Is this normal??

I'm 20 years old and I got Paragard inserted on the 18th of Feb. I've been spotting until recently so my SO and I decided to have sex last night, this morning I started to bleed mildly, enough to fill a panty liner, and now I'm not bleeding anymore, my period isnt for 3 days, is this experience normal? Or should I start to be concerned??

So I just started bleeding again, it looks like the start of my period, could it be I'm just early? It's a little heavier than spotting 
Did anyone have this issue if their paragard moved out of place? How much did you bleed?

Hi! Yes, the same thing happened to me (also 20 & got the Paraguard in November) but it’s just because your body is getting used to the iud. Give it about 3-6 months to regulate, maybe even less, and you’ll be good :)

I’ve had the Paragard for two years. This is totally normal—it’s your body adjusting. You may fluctuate between light spotting and heavy bleeding for the next few weeks until your body acclimates fully. 
If you find yourself bleeding excessively heavily to where you’re soaking through a heavy duty maxi pad every two hours, that’s when things aren’t normal and in that event you should seek out your doctor.

If you keep bleeding after sex though, go see your doctor. I just had to have surgery to take my paraguard out. It had moved and that’s what was causing the bleeding.
