Negative pressure therapy on a c- section

Zahraa

I’m currently 8 weeks post partum. My little man turns a whole 2 months tomorrow! Although being a first time mom was difficult I never considered post c section to be painful up until 2 weeks ago when my stitches had opened. It opened up about 5cm and is roughly 3 cm deep. I have been to my gyneA. Who had sent me to the wound clinic to get the wound dressed. After examination the wound doctor put me on Vaccum assisted closure therapy (negative pressure wound therapy) see link for details - https://www.kci-medical.co.za/ZA-ENG/vactherapy - can anyone tell me if they have had this to assist c section closure ? If so how long does it usually take to heal? I am currently on it for 2 weeks and go to change the dressings twice a week.
