Great al terrain stroller?

Question

I enjoy to hike and would love to take my son hiking with me along with a small Chihuahua once he's born and a little older. He's due July 5th and I'd wait a few months before id take him but for when I do..
What's a good stroller? Ive looked a t a few and like the ones with three wheels but also am working with a budget

I would look into a baby carrier for hiking! I love my Lillebaby carrier but I know there are some more structured ones designed for hiking. That would leave both hands free for walking the dog and anything else you needed to do.

Bob strollers. They're expensive new, but depending on where you live, you may be able to find one used for a steal. Loved my single Bob so much that I wanted the same now that I need to upgrade to a double; didn't want to pay the crazy price for the double though. Bought a used one for $30 that needs a little fixing up and a cleaning but my total cost for both the purchase and refurbishing process will be $90 or less, and I expect to end up being able to resell it for $100-150 if I want once I'm done using it. In general, if you want a good price then I'd definitely check used. So many people will buy a jogging stroller and sell it barely used because they didn't end up using it much. There's also often sales of strollers that have a huge price drop purely because the owner is selling the stroller dirty (normal trail dirt kind of mess) rather than cleaning it before resale.
Have you also considered carriers? I got a hiking specific carrier for my son and he absolutely loved riding in it. He enjoyed the view on the hike, and I assume was really comfortable considering he would even nap in it during hikes. It has an attachment to add shielding for him from rain and wind as well. I haven't been able to use it for a while because of my pregnancy belly, but it's so much better than a jogging stroller for a hike unless you mean really wide and calm trails since anywhere you took the jogger you'd have to assume room is needed not only for your jogger, but one passing next to yours.

The fabric is removable and machine washable, the sun canopy folds alll the way forward to block the sun. Lots of accessories you can buy extra for it if you live in a rainy climate, snowy climate, or have older kids. The wheels lock for jogging, all terrain tires allow for easy use on dirt, sand and grass. Kinda pricey so buy used 😁👍
