Pregnancy with incompetent cervix?

Any mamas? This is my 2nd time pregnant and it although I wasn’t diagnosed with IC, I gave birth to my daughter early in 2017 my water bag did funnel. So this time around for our second pregnancy we’re being monitored more closely and going to fetal medicine since it’s a high risk pregnancy. There hasn’t been talk about a cerclage yet but possibly taking progesterone shots at week 16! Any mamas had full term pregnancies with IC? How do you feel about cerclage? Thank you! Ok so nervous being pregnant this time around

I lost twins at 22 weeks and a boy at 16 weeks. After the second loss I was diagnosed with IC because both losses were spontaneous without contractions. The next time i got pregnant, my dr placed a cerclage at 13 weeks. Very easy procedure. They gave me progesterone shots every week starting at 16 weeks until 36 weeks and monitored my cervix by ultrasound every other week. Pregnancy was uncomplicated! Removed the cerclage at 37 weeks (unpleasant, but tolerable) and I didn't go into labor until 40w6d! Had a healthy, 7lb8oz little boy. Got pregnant again when our son was around 18 months and again had a cerclage placed (even easier this time) and had the shots. My water started leaking at 37w3d and had to be induced. Gave birth to a healthy, 7lbs5oz little boy. So needless to say, I'm very thankful for the treatments offered and for my sweet boys! Best of luck to you! The shots really make a difference.

I had a cerclage with my last pregnancy. It was performed at 12 weeks, I didn’t get progesterone shots but I did get the one shot at about 26 weeks for babies lungs (can’t remember what it’s called) anyways I’m so glad I did it or I may not of had my son who is now 7 months old and perfect. The only part that sucked about the cerclage was no sex. My cerclage staying in until I had my c section (first baby was c section) so I had my cerclage in from 12-39 weeks

I have an IC. My son was almost born at 26 weeks but were were able to make it to 34 weeks and 6 days that was in 2013. In 2016 I lost twins and in 2017 when I got pregnant with my daughter i had the cerclage placed at 16 weeks and started makena shots at 16 weeks as well up until 36 weeks when they removed the stitch and stoped the injections. We made it to 37 weeks 2 days and now I’m on the same boat currently 26 weeks pregnant and so far so good with the cerclage and make a shots hoping to make it at least to 37 weeks is the goal this time. Last time was 36 weeks at least.
