After getting positive at home tests, did y’all go in for blood work, then later on go in for your first ob appt? I took 2 at ClearBlue at home tests (the digital ones). Should I just wait until 8 weeks and do it all at once?

Nope no need to get bloodwork for pregnancy confirmation when your hpts already confirmed your pregnancy. My doctor did not want to see me until 8 weeks for my ultrasound

I went for blood work same week cause my line wasn’t that strong. I wanted to know for sure - blood work didn’t leave a doubt

I went in to confirm pregnancy and got blood work done at 4+3 & then had my first ultrasound at 7+5

Yes. HPT confirmed on 1/31. My nurse practitioner ordered blood work that confirmed on 2/1. Then I had my first OB appt on 2/25 and they did a ton of blood work.

I went in for initial HCG testing and went back 48 hours later to be sure it doubled.  ( mine trippled ). Every doctor will be different and have you do different things !

I went in for blood work just because I had a miscarriage last time. Dr wanted to make sure my numbers were doubling. Once we found out they were I didn’t go back for my first confirmation appointment until I was 8 weeks. (Almost 9)
