Am I Selfish for wanting baby to come out at 31 wks.!?

Question

So I’m 31 wks I’ve been in the hospital for 10 days now am i selfish for wanting baby to just come on out? I’m 5/6 CM dilated and been that way since i been here. I’m ready for baby to come out because i have 2 little ones at home and it’s hard to keep finding people to help me and plus I’m tired of being hospitalized. What should i do.?
 I’ve never went pass 35 wks with none of my 4 pregnancies so going full term is definitely not an option because i have a bicornuate uterus.!

It wouldn’t help if baby came early. You would have to stay in hospital for another few weeks whether baby is born or not. I’m sorry you are going through this difficult time. It definitely can’t be easy. Especially with no family help 🙁

I had my son at 34+6, he stayed in the nicu for 2 weeks. Your not selfish for wanting to have your baby I was in the hospital for 9 days before my baby came but the baby should definitely stay in longer 😊

I mean yeah but no ... if you were actively trying to induce id say yes but being impatient i understand ... just let the baby finish baking lol im 37 +2 so i know the struggle lol

I get that it is a difficult situation, but 31 weeks is early.

I don’t think it’s selfish as a lot of people are fed up by that point, myself included. However, I’m sure you know that it wouldn’t be good for your baby to be born around now and it’ll be harder for you as they’ll be in the hospital needed treatment. A baby is only really full term from 38 weeks. There’s not anything you can do about it as we think the baby dictates when labour starts. At least you don’t have too much longer to go now even if you were to get to 42 weeks :) x

You can’t really do anything. You do not want baby to come early. Then you’ll probably be at the hospital for the next 4 weeks because your baby might be in the NICU.
