How late will YOUR doctor let you go to?

I thought it would be cool for my baby to be born on my dad’s birthday which is 8 days past her due date. Obviously it’s not a necessity and she will come when she comes! Just curious what other doctors rules are for going late. I know going too late can be dangerous for baby.

It depends because if you push it to far past 41 ish weeks it can be very bad for baby.

My doctor for my daughter would not let me go far past 41 weeks
 I convinced her to strip my membranes 2 days before I hit 41 weeks and schedule my induction for 2 days after to see if I would go into labor naturally but that didn't happen. She said it's worse for babies to stay in a week or two too long than come out a week or two early.
